Bakery food company Britannia Industries Ltd has reported a 3.76% decline in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 2024. The company’s net profit for the quarter was Rs 536.61 crore, down from Rs 557.60 crore in the same period last year. The revenue from operations in the March quarter was Rs 4,069.36 crore, up by 1.14%. Total expenses of Britannia Industries increased by 1.98% to Rs 3,388.28 crore in the same period. Britannia Industries’ total income in the March quarter of FY24 rose by 1.15% to Rs 4,126.70 crore. For the entire FY24, Britannia Industries’ net profit fell by 7.76% to Rs 2,134.22 crore compared to Rs 2,316.32 crore in the previous year. Its total income in FY24 advanced by 2.82% to Rs 16,983.45 crore. The company’s board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 73.5 per equity share of Re 1 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2024. Shares of Britannia Industries Ltd on Friday settled at Rs 4,745.15 a piece on the BSE, marking a 0.32% decline.
