Visakhapatnam: In a fervent announcement, YSRCP senior leader and Minister Botsa Satyanarayana announced that the YSRC party is set to file a petition in the high court to contest the Election Commission’s directive halting the release of welfare scheme funds in Andhra Pradesh during the election period.

During a press conference held in Visakhapatnam, Botsa Satyanarayana accused the Telugu Desam, Janasena, and BJP of hindering government schemes, stating, “Student fee reimbursement, YSR Asara, Pensions, and SHG funds are being obstructed due to the TD-led alliance’s irresponsible interference. The three entities in the alliance are impeding the distribution of welfare funds to the beneficiaries.” He further criticised the Election Commission for allegedly displaying favoritism towards the TDP.

Expressing concern for the sanctity of election rules and the Constitution, Botsa emphasised the importance of upholding these rules without violation. Botsa questioned the Election Commission’s inaction regarding Chandrababu’s language against the chief minister during election meetings, as well as lack of response to incidents resulting in elderly deaths while awaiting pensions under scorching heat conditions. He also brought attention to the silence of Prime Minister Modi, Chandrababu, and Pawan Kalyan regarding the issue of Visakhapatnam steel plant privatisation. “Modi is echoing the words of a corrupt group. This is the same Modi who, in the previous elections, accused Chandrababu of using Polavaram as his ATM,” he remarked.

Regarding the Land Titling Act, Botsa conveyed the BJP’s belief that it benefits all landholders. He stressed the Central government’s emphasis on formulating robust land laws, with advocates touting this act as a Brahmastra, a potent weapon, to safeguard common people’s interests.
