The Capital NEWs

Vijayawada: Dr. Ambati Naga Radhakrishna Yadav, Chairman of the YSRCP Doctors Wing, has launched a scathing attack on senior actor Chiranjeevi for his recent endorsement of the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh. Yadav has demanded clarification from Chiranjeevi regarding the rationale behind his support for the alliance, questioning whether it aligns with the interests of the people or serves merely his personal or familial interests.

Radhakrishna criticised Chiranjeevi’s prolonged silence on political matters and his sudden alignment with the NDA, alleging that this move is driven more by personal relations than by considerations for the welfare of Andhra Pradesh. He emphasised that the upcoming election represents a battle between the pro-people YSRC and power-hungry opposition parties, with the YSRCP standing firmly on the side of the poor and marginalised sections of society. He accused Chiranjeevi of supporting those who exploit the underprivileged rather than advocating for their rights.

Furthermore, Radhakrishna criticised Chiranjeevi’s track record during the division of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh as a Union Minister, highlighting alleged neglect of the state’s interests. He pointed out Chiranjeevi’s failure to address critical issues despite his Prajarajyam Party winning 18 seats in the 2009 elections.

He also raised allegations against Chiranjeevi’s political integrity, citing accusations of selling party tickets for exorbitant amounts during the inception of Praja Rajyam Party in 2008. He asserted that Chiranjeevi’s subsequent merger of the party with the Congress was motivated by selfish interests rather than ideological alignment.

In addition to criticising Chiranjeevi, Radhakrishna targeted other political figures such as TDP President Chandrababu Naidu, Kiran Kumar Reddy, and D. Purandaeswari, accusing them of colluding to exploit Andhra Pradesh for personal gain. He labeled them as non-local politicians who prioritise their interests over the welfare of the state’s residents.
