Citizens for Democracy (CFD) has filed a petition in the AP High Court regarding the use of volunteers for the AP Elections. The petition claims that the AP Government is not following the directives of the Central Election Commission. During the hearing on Wednesday, the petitioner’s lawyers argued that the government is not taking appropriate action despite the directives. The court was shown evidence that the Chief Minister and Ministers were instructing volunteers to work for them during the elections. The High Court questioned the government’s inaction and ordered the state CEO and Central Election Commission to take immediate action. Furthermore, the court ordered that CFD’s request should be implemented without any delay.
