Former Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has sharply criticized the Andhra Pradesh government, accusing it of severe lapses in maintaining law and order and perpetuating a “Red Book regime.” His remarks came after a visit to the family of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) worker Subbarayudu, who was allegedly murdered by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supporters in Sitaramapuram, Nandyala district.
Speaking to the media on Friday , Jagan condemned the Chandrababu Naidu-led government for fostering a climate of fear and violence. He alleged that TDP members have been using brutal tactics, including attacks with stones, iron rods, and knives, to terrorize opposition leaders and workers. In addition to addressing the murder case, Jagan accused Srisailam MLA Buddha Rajasekhar Reddy of promoting violent politics. He referred to a video in which MLA allegedly suggested that two individuals should be killed for each mandal, and questioned why no legal action has been taken against him.
Jagan also criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for breaking electoral promises, including those related to student scholarships and financial aid for women. He argued that if the YSRCP were in power, welfare schemes like Amma Odi and Rythu Bharosa would already be in place.
