India alliance parties call to oppose YSRCP, TDP in AP

Amaravati: The India alliance parties called upon people to teach a fitting lesson to the YSR Congress and TDP which were supporting the BJP.

India Alliance party leaders Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president YS Sharmila, CPM secretary V Srinivasa Rao, CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna, former MP and senior politician Vadde Shobhanadreswara Rao, Special Status Joint Action Committee president Chalasani Srinivasa Rao, Jai Bharath party president JD Lakshmi Narayana and several leaders took part in meeting held at Congress party office Andhra Ratna Bhavan here on Thursday.   

On this occasion, they said that both the parties YSR Congress and TDP had been extending their support to the BJP for the last five years though it had rejected the special status. The leaders said that if the Centre had given the special status, the state’s economic condition would have been different.

They further said that the state’s condition became worse after the state bifurcation. The BJP cheated Andhra Pradesh they said and added that how the TDP and YSR Congress were supporting the Centre. They appealed to people to cast their votes for the party which would give special status to Andhra Pradesh. They said that the India alliance parties would protect the interests of the state as per AP Reorganisation.

Sharmila MP candidate for Kadapa Lok Sabha

The leaders of the Congress party requested YS Sharmila to contest from Kadapa Lok Sabha as the successor of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. They said that YS Sharmila’s role would be useful to regain the glory of the Congress party in the state.
