Chandrababu government is working to support the farmers: Purandeswari

The President of the Andhra Pradesh BJP and MP of Rajamahendravaram, Purandeshwari, stated that she is willing to bring central funds if necessary to modernize the Kovvada red canals. She mentioned that farmers are facing difficulties due to the Erra canal, Kovvada canal, and Tadipudi canal. She emphasized the need for a permanent solution to prevent agricultural losses.

Purandeshwari noted that 2300 acres have been flooded in the current season due to heavy cyclone rains, and farmers typically lose 5000 acres annually due to typhoons. Officials are currently assessing the crop damage, and plans are underway to find permanent solutions.

Purandeshwari also highlighted the schemes introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, such as the Fasal Bima Yojana and Kisan Samman, aimed at doubling the income of farmers. She expressed that the NDA government is committed to aiding farmers and acknowledged the efforts of CM Chandrababu’s government.
