BPCL ready to invest heavily in Andhra Pradesh

As Chandrababu Naidu assumes office as the Chief Minister, many companies are gearing up to invest in Andhra Pradesh. It is expected that the state will soon receive positive news.

The central government is likely to allocate the BPCL refinery project to Andhra Pradesh. BPCL is considering setting up a refinery project in Andhra Pradesh with a significant investment of 50,000 crores.

If this materializes, the BPCL refinery project is expected to be established in Machilipatnam, according to officials.

However, it appears that the states of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are also vying to host the BPCL refinery. Madhya Pradesh has expressed its willingness to offer a 500 crore loan and GST exemption for 15 years to attract the project. BPCL is hoping for similar incentives from Andhra Pradesh. I

n response, Andhra Pradesh officials have decided to hold discussions with BPCL and the central government. Officials from the central government have indicated that Andhra Pradesh will receive positive news soon. If the project comes to Andhra Pradesh, it has the potential to create thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities locally.
