Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan addressed the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, revealing that the State ranks twelfth in e-waste production across India.
He highlighted that Andhra Pradesh has six centers dedicated to e-waste recycling, all operating in compliance with Central Pollution Control Board norms.
Given the increasing e-waste, Pawan Kalyan emphasized the need for recycling centers in every district, assuring that necessary actions will be taken to establish them. Regarding essential commodities, Minister Nadendla Manohar provided updates on price monitoring and control measures.
He stated that kandipappu (red gram), priced at Rs 181, is being sold at Rs160 through special counters. Similarly, steam rice is available at Rs 49 per kg and raw rice at Rs 48 per kg.
Manohar assured that the quality of pulses and rice is regularly checked under the directives of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He also mentioned that actions are taken against any irregularities and efforts are underway to tackle the black market of essential goods
