Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister TG Bharat met with US Consul General in Hyderabad, Jennifer Larson, and sought her support in attracting companies to the state. Bharat highlighted the opportunities available in the state and assured Larson that Andhra Pradesh would assist investors in every possible way.
Given the significant number of Telugu people working in the US, the minister urged the diplomat to encourage them to consider expanding their businesses in the state, according to an official statement. The Consul General responded positively to the request.
Furthermore, Bharat announced that the state would introduce a business-friendly industrial policy within the next 100 days to attract investments and promote employment.
He mentioned that draft policies on industries, MSMEs, food processing, and industrial clusters would be prepared within the next 15 days.
In order to streamline the process for investors, Bharat emphasized that all approvals would be provided through a single window system. Acknowledging the state’s financial situation, he indicated that a public-private partnership (PPP) model would be employed.
Additionally, the decision on the location for establishing the BPCL investment, valued at over Rs 75,000 crore, would be made by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
